WFA is an online group peer mentoring platform for primary schools, led by children for children. It builds pupil leadership, friendship, kindness and whole-school wellbeing through creative video-based learning.
At the heart of WFA is Adrian Benn, Bigfoot’s Senior Educator with nearly 20 years of experience. Through three specially designed modules — Positive Communication, Healthy Relationships and Feeling Good, Adrian guides WFA mentors in a fun, inclusive workshop-style format that links directly to your school’s RSHE curriculum.
Your school registers to become a member and selects Year 5 or 6 pupils as WFA Mentors.
Mentors receive online training from Adrian Benn via the WFA portal, supported by WFA staff leads.
WFA staff leads & mentors attend live online support events throughout the year.
Mentors lead pre-planned group workshops for their peers using streamed video content with support from WFA staff leads.
The programme culminates in a whole-school celebration during World Friendship Week in July, along with a big live workshop event open to all WFA member schools.

WFA is low-cost, child-led and simple to deliver. Once your mentors are trained, the programme runs with minimal staff time while creating a lasting impact across your school. The average cost for an entire year of WFA in your school is comparable to the cost of a single teacher agency supply day. That's real value!
